Find the right part
Compatibility starts with your exact bike and motor.
Which crank arms fit my bike?
Start with our Crank Finder and search for your bike model, part code or motor. Check the exact motor model, crank interface, crank length and frame clearance against the product details before ordering.
If your bike is not listed, email help@miranda.pt with the bike brand, model, year and motor reference, plus photos of both crank arms and any markings. We will help you identify a suitable option.
How do I identify the Bosch motor on my bike?
Look for the exact drive-unit model or reference on the motor label, in your bicycle documentation or in the manufacturer's specifications for your bike's model and year.
The Bosch name alone is not enough to confirm crank compatibility. If you cannot find the reference, send us clear photos of the motor label and your existing crank arms. We will help you check the correct interface before you buy.
Which Q-factor should I choose?
Use the dimensions specified for your exact motor and frame. The complete setup must provide enough clearance between the crank arms and the frame, with the cranks correctly positioned relative to the centre of the bike.
Check the Q-factor and DBC (distance between cranks) drawings in the Miranda catalogue. A Q code on a crank arm is not, by itself, the total width of the assembled crankset. If you are unsure, send us the motor reference and the markings on your current cranks.
How do I choose a sprocket with an E-Chainguard Nut?
Match the motor compatibility, number of teeth and offset to your existing setup. Offset describes the position of the sprocket teeth relative to the motor mounting surface.
Different sprockets can require different E-Chainguard Nuts. We recommend choosing the matching set shown in the product details. If you are replacing an existing assembly, send us its reference and clear photos so we can help you confirm the correct combination.
Where can I find the full Miranda product range?
Visit our catalogue downloads to explore the wider Miranda range and technical drawings.
If a product appears in a catalogue but is not available in the online store, contact help@miranda.pt with the product reference and the quantity you need so we can check availability.
Cranks & installation
What is included, what the markings mean and how to check your setup.
Can I buy just the left or right crank arm?
Our crank arms are sold in pairs: the left and right arms are supplied together.
Are crank bolts included?
Yes. Crank fixing bolts are included when you purchase a pair of crank arms.
What torque should I use for the crank bolts?
Follow the installation instructions and tightening torque specified for your exact crank, fixing bolt and motor or spindle interface. There is no single torque value that applies to every Miranda crank setup.
If the instructions are missing, contact help@miranda.pt with the crank reference and motor model before installation. A qualified bicycle mechanic can help with correct fitting.
How do I tell the left crank from the right crank?
The right crank has an R engraved on the inside. Check this marking before fitting the crank arms or pedals.
What does RF mean in a crank model name?
RF means reinforced. These versions are designed with additional reinforcement to improve mechanical resistance and durability. The reinforcement can add weight compared with the corresponding non-reinforced version.

Miranda & Irmão, also known as Miranda Bike Parts, is a company with over 75 years of existence, producing cranksets, brakes, levers, grips and reflectors, currently being the european manufacturer of premium bicycle drivetrain components, for ebikes, MTB, EMTB, road, trekking, commuting, and city bikes.
First established as an individual business in 1940, it became a family-owned company by 1950, manufacturing headlamps, rear lamps, and air pumps.
By the 1960's, Miranda was on its path to success, having increased its industrial area thus widely developing its manufacturing capabilities, and expanding to a new range of products such as motorcycle hydraulic brakes, speedometers. grips, switches, and klaxons.
The introduction of plastic injection technology, in 1978, brought a new surge of development to this already striving company. Later on, the 90's Miranda installed the equipment and technology of cold-forged aluminum.
Nowadays, Miranda has extended production to a new range of bicycle brakes and cranksets, and has been progressively going into the medium and high-end market of bicycle components.
Miranda is now supplying most of the European top brand bicycles and exporting to a wide range of countries, enlarging every year a strong reputation of the quality maker and a reliable industrial partner.
